Honey Garlic Pork Rice Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 lbs Pork Tenderloin
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 4 Cloves Minced Garlic
- 1/4 C Honey
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 C White rice
- 1/2 C Sliced Green Onions
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- While the skillet heats, cut the pork tenderloin into bite-sized cubes.
- Once the skillet is hot, add the cubed pork to the pan in a single layer.
- Cook the pork for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is browned on all sides.
- Once the pork is browned, remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and let it heat for a few seconds.
- Add 4 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in 1/4 cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
- Stir the mixture until it begins to simmer and the honey has dissolved into the sauce, about 2 minutes.
- Return the cooked pork to the skillet, stirring to coat the pork evenly with the sauce.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the pork simmer in the sauce for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- While the pork is simmering, prepare 2 cups of cooked white rice and place it in bowls.
- Once the pork is ready, spoon it over the cooked rice in each bowl.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of sliced green onions and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds over the top of each rice bowl.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Honey Garlic Pork Rice Bowl.
